This app does not collect anything. It has no servers, no accounts and no analytics. It cannot send your photo anywhere, because it contains no networking code at all.

What happens to your photo

Everything happens on your iPhone. When you pick a photo, or take one with the camera, the app measures your face, crops the image to the size your document requires, and shows you the result. All of that runs on the device using Apple's own on-device Vision framework. Your photo is held in memory while the app works on it and is discarded when you leave the screen.

The app never writes your photo to disk on its own. The only copy saved anywhere is the one you explicitly save yourself, either to your photo library or to a file you choose.

What the app asks permission for

Camera. Only if you choose "Take a Photo". The preview is analysed on the device so the app can tell you to move closer or turn towards the light. Frames are not recorded.

Adding to your photo library. Only when you tap Save. This is add-only access: the app can put a finished photo into your library, and it cannot read anything that is already there.

Choosing an existing photo needs no permission at all. iOS shows you its own picker and hands the app only the one image you select.

What is stored on your device

• which document you last selected, so you do not have to pick it again
• whether you turned on "Keep my own background"

Both live in the app's own preferences and are removed when you delete the app.

What is not collected

No name, no email, no account. No device identifiers, no advertising ID, no location. No usage statistics, no crash reporting, no cookies. Nothing is shared with anyone, because nothing leaves your phone in the first place.

You do not have to take that on trust. The app is open source, and you can check for yourself that there is no networking code in it: github.com/17rohith29/passport-photo.

Children

The app is safe for anyone to use. It collects nothing from anyone, regardless of age.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the date at the top will change with it. Since the app has no way to contact you, any change will appear here and in the App Store listing.
